• Good news - the scorer's course due to start at Arundel on Thursday, 20th January has 7 candidates and will definitely run but places are still available if you or any one you know wants to come along.
• However at present there are only 2 (or possibly 3) candidates for the umpires course due to start next Tuesday, 11th January.
• We would very much like to run this course but it must be viable.
• Again if you know of anyone who wants to learn more about the skills of umpiring or if you fancy a refresher - we can never know enough about the Laws (ask Daryl Harper!!) - please contact Derek Knight (01243 582578) by Friday at the latest.
• Even if you are unable or unwilling to commit to all the sessions but can make a number of them please consider it - if we know we can get 5 attending every week (even if not the same 5) we will run the course!!
• Just to remind you that the next evening meeting is next Wednesday, 12 th January at Arundel at 7.30 - it is a training evening with some umpiring gems from Derek and a very basic explanation of Duckworth-Lewis from me!! Please try to be there.
