The Winners will hold the new magnificent Cricket Telecom's Trophy for one year. Individual medals will be presented to the Grand Final Winners and Runners Up.

CRICKET TELECOM TROPHY 2006
COMPETITION RULES

" Participants must be Under 10 years of age on 1st September 2005
" Kwik cricket equipment to be used - no wooden bats
" Wicket keepers may wear gloves
" The "Incrediball" (junior size) will be used throughout the tournament
" Pitch length - 18 yards
" Each squad to comprise of a maximum of 10 players (8 a side with 2 reserves)
" A nominated scorer & Umpire must be provided by each team
" An official manager must be provided by each team
" Each innings will consist of 8 x 6 ball overs
" 4 pairs of batsmen to face 2 overs in an innings
" No person may bowl more than 2 overs
" Each team will start with 200 runs
" 5 runs will be deducted for the loss of a wicket
" Batsmen will change ends at the fall of a wicket
" Batsmen can only be run out backing up following an official warning by the bowler
" LBW may only be given if a batter deliberately blocks the ball to prevent it hitting the wicket
" Wides and no-balls to count as 2 runs BUT no extra ball except in the final over of each innings
" A ball that bounces MORE THAN TWICE is a no-ball
" Bowlers may bowl overarm or underarm, however, children should be encouraged to bowl overarm if at all possible
" If the tournament is abandoned the winners and runners up will be the two clubs with the most points when play is abandoned, providing at least one round of games have been completed. If a round of matches have not been completed a bowl out will be staged if possible. If this is not possible the winners and runners up will be drawn out of the hat.
" Where clubs are level on points the difference between their total runs scored and runs conceded will determine the qualifiers
" If not mentioned above, general cricket rules apply
" Sussex CCC and Cricket Telecom are not responsible for physical injury or loss of personal belongings whilst taking part.
