HOME     NEW GROUND

• Taking advantage of the excellent autumnal weather I walked across the fields from Albourne to the ground at Blackstone.
• The 3 mile walk ran parallel with the South Downs and could well prove to be a popular track to the spectators in need of a break from watching cricket at the ground.

The surface is now devoid of top soil and the entire field is scarred with the JCB levelling bucket.

Markers are arranged in situ ready for the major levelling to be undertaken next year.

A huge mound of top soil has been scraped from the surface and lies waiting to be replaced.

Mother nature has her ground back for the winter months as no further activity will take place until next spring.
