Web masters observations
This will enable those Clubs who
have volunteers willing to assist in some activities the facility
to attend a course to gain an insight into the rudimentary workings
of coaching children. Sussex appear to be saying Yes the ECB courses
are good but for some individuals the course is too intense- too
detached from the simple, mundane tasks which some Club volunteers
require. For those who wish to develop their coaching the ECB
course remain available.
Details of the 2007-08 Coach Education
Programme were released in July and the subsequent response has
been very positive, with all 3 UKCC Level 2 courses now full with
waiting lists.
There are still places available on the remaining UKCC Level 1
courses and also on all IntroductoryCourses.
Please note that from 1st
January 2008 the Introductory Course is no longer an ECB course.
However, this course will still run and the content delivered
will be based on the same syllabus, by ECB qualified tutors.
We are not able to give you the ECB resources on the course and
you will not get an ECB Attendance certificate.
We will, however, be producing
a Sussex Cricket Board attendance certificate for you.
If you would like more information regarding this or would like
to discuss it, please contact Andy Hobbs on 01273 827104 .
Running along side these at different venues around Sussex are Safeguarding & Protecting Children
(previously named Good Practice & Child Protection) and First
Aid courses.
There are additional spaces available on these if you need to
attend.
Finally, a Time 2 Listen
course is being run in Chichester on 7th February 2008.
This course is for Club Welfare Officers with current certification
in child protection training, and is a requirement for Clubmark
accreditation.
If you would like to book your place on any of these courses please
