COACH EDUCATION UPDATE as at 14/05/08

The successful 2007/8 programme comprised four UKCC Level 1 and four UKCC Level 2 courses across the county.
As a result we now have 80 newly qualified Level 1 coaches and potentially 80 more Level 2 coaches operating in Sussex clubs.

Having initially had three Level 2 courses in the programme, due to funding from the West Area Cricket Association we were very pleased to be able to run a fourth.

In addition, 25 candidates gained a certificate in the now defunct ECB Introductory Course. We also ran a SCB Women only Introductory course which was successful with ten candi-dates attending.

Since the beginning of the year two ‗Time to Listen‘ courses have taken place.
These courses are for Club Welfare Officers with current certification in child protection training, and is a requirement for Clubmark accreditation.

Details of all courses we run are available on our website, www.sussexcb.play-cricket.com

The 2008/9 Coach Education programme is currently being finalised and dates & venues will be available on the website in June. There will also be a flyer / application form emailed to all club contacts. We can only confirm places on receipt of fully completed appli-cation and full payment. We cannot reserve places in advance of application.

WARNING: we operateon a first come first served basis, so once applications are open, don‘t hang about!
