Child Protection
& First Aid Courses
Sussex County Cricket Club, the National Coaching Foundation and St. John's Ambulance Services have joined
forces to deliver courses specific to coaches needs. These courses
are a requirement of the new licence scheme and are considered
of great importance to anyone working with children and adults.
The two types of courses
we will be running for cricket coaches are:
- Good Practice & Child Protection
- examine your own practice when coaching children and recognise
your responsibilities in protecting children from abuse. Protect
yourself, the young people you coach and your employer by understanding
the following good coaching practice. Leam about child abuse
and how to handle situations if you have concerns.
- MAXIMUM NUMBER PER COURSE 12
- Emergency Aid - a working knowledge.
A sound background to First Aid, which includes; Mouth to Mouth
Ventilations and Chest Compressions, Control of External Bleeding,
Treatment of an Unconscious Casualty, Recovery Position and Miscellaneous
Conditions. A certificate of attendance is given.
- MAXIMUM NUMBER PER COURSE 25
ADDITIONAL COURSES CAN BE PROVIDED ON REQUEST

All Licensed Coaches will receive
a 25% discount on all of the above. Licensed Coaches can also
use their £10 NCF Voucher on the Good Practice & Child
Protection Courses, as the NCF co-ordinate these courses. All
