HOME     NEW GROUND

THE PAVILION IS BUILT AT THE NEW GROUND.

The foundations are up and the major drains are being put in.

The ground area is the floor space of at least three houses

as the facilities are designed for at least four teams.

The view from the middle.

The boundary is about 60 metres behind the bowlers arm ( as paced )

Three weeks later - June 22nd - and the building is beginning to take shape.

The shot is taken from the car park entrance and shows how the main ground is slightly raised.

The second ground is to the left of this photo- thus junior players will descend a slight bank when they take the field.

A repeat of the view from the middle.

The sight screen will have to be placed in front of the pavilion

and movement behind the arm will have to be minimal.

One problem - the drainage ditches in the outfield appear to have

sunken.

Some remedial work is obviously required.

This is perhaps to be expected for a new ground on wealden clay.
