Nationwide U15 National Club Championship 2008

I hope that you all had an enjoyable festive break and that you are now well on the way in your preparations for a successful season in 2008.
The good news is that having completed their takeover of the Portman Building Society the Nationwide are carrying on with the third year of the sponsorship agreement.
Encouraging signs are that the Nationwide have even agreed to host the Wiltshire County Final at the sports ground at their HQ in Swindon.

Included in with this letter are the details of the draw for the Preliminary Rounds prior to each Regional Final.
You will find that the venues for two of the Regional Finals have been changed.
The Regional Final in the South West has been moved from Bath CC to Weston-super-Mare CC. Unfortunately the fact that the two grounds at Bath are a few miles apart has meant that the Presentation Ceremony for the last two years has been seriously delayed whilst waiting for the teams to navigate through the late afternoon traffic in the city.
The Midlands Regional Final has been relocated to Leamington CC from Moseley CC to enable the Suffolk winners to be included in this section of the competition rather than the South East Region where they have to travel to Horsham if they are successful.
To try to even up the number of counties in each Region there have been one or two other boundary changes.
The Horsham and York Regional Finals have swapped weeks due to the Horsham ground being unavailable on the usual date due to Sussex CCC using the ground for a County Championship fixture. The York date has also been altered since my last communication to you due to a clash with the U19 Roses Match.
If your County winners are due to host a Play-off match prior to your Regional Final you will find that a pair of match balls have already been sent to your County Board for use in this match.

Note our Sussex final is to be held at Blackstone on JUNE 27TH 6PM - reserve date JULY 4TH 6PM.
