FINAL
STEYNING 44-0 BEAT HORSHAM
TRINITY 43-6
After a poor start, Pulborough rallied to 84-4,with Daniel Batchelor,20. And Rory Mitchell,31*
Leading the way.Steyning’s innings started in a similar fashion, but a lack of penetration from the back-up bowlers, proved to be descisive with Jacob Gwilliam retiring on 21,and Ryan Maidment and
David Neale carrying the day with 18 apiece.
Horsham Trinity ran well between the wickets with Jack Gold, Josh Tustin and Ben Chapples all retiring, and Joe Wilde ramming home the advantage with19*. Only Bryn Coughlan,18*, offered much resistance for Billingshurst, against tight bowling [Marcus Collyer 2-8]
Steyning restricted the hitherto free-scoring Horsham Trinity batsmen with some excellent tight bowling backed up by some superb fielding, restricting them to 43 all out[Hywel Jones 3-10]], and then batted very sensibly to knock off the required runsin7.2 overs
David Horsman, Chairman of the IDentilam League, presented Steyning with the Plate Trophy.
