MATTHEW PASSES HIS
DRIVING TEST
- This morning Monday 05/03/01 Matthew
drove to his net with Keith Greenfield.
On Saturday he passed his driving test and spent most of the
weekend at the wheel.
- Success in the driving test seems to have produced a similar
result to being awarded his first Regional cricket cap for the
South of England. He almost slept in it.
- To hold a driving licence is an essential for the modern
day young cricketer in that it will provide him with the freedom
to travel to and from the ground under his own steam. It will
further allow him to extend his coaching activity by travelling
to and from the coaching facility.
- He has already joined the coaching sessions on Sundays and
his own transport will be a boon.
- In the net this morning he continued to show promise with
the bat and is eagerly awaiting the 19th March - just 2 weeks
to go
- Sussex CCC coach Peter Moores
has arrived home from a long tour with the England A squad. He
has just sufficient time to remind his small family who he is
before jetting off again with the Sussex players to Grenada.
