• In the same year that Wisden omitted Michael Bevan from the named top five cricketers of the year list so the Daily Telegraph has failed to include Matthew Prior in the 14 named Sussex players.
• True Matthew has no known form, but as his stated intention is to do his best to break through into first class cricket and, as such, some Fantasy team selectors may well require unknown factors in their team in order to win the competition.
• The Chief Executive of Sussex CCC was seen and heard to complain vociferously in respect of the omission of Michael from the Wisden list. We await his statement on Matthew's omission.
