• In the first game Matthew caught one and stumped one.
• In the second game against Kent he caught one and then standing up to Mark Robinson, who can still generate a good turn of speed, he stumped Hockley for 10.
• There were no byes in Kent's total of 175 off 48.2 overs
• In the Sussex reply alas Michael Yardy was out for a duck but RMJ bowled well again and was there at the end 12 nout out.
• Matthew did not bat as Sussex got the runs in 48.4 overs to win by 5 wickets.
