MICHAEL YARDY SUSSEX JUNIOR 1992- 1998
Born in Pembury, Kent - grew up in Battle - schooled at Hastings Priory.

His Junior cricket career did not get off to a good start despite the encouragement of his manager -

the late Stan Berry -but as the years passed he became a very important player in the County side

which went on to become NATIONAL CHAMPIONS at both Under 15 and Under 16 age groups.

three other Sussex players Oliver West, Luke Marshall and James Parker

Main strength of the side was the upper middle order wqhich contained Michael .

SOUTH OF ENGLAND UNDER 14 REGIONAL SIDE 1995 COVENTRY
Michael played in a very changed South side.
In came Alex Loudon -Kent; Ben Scott Middlesex ; Michael Carberry Surrey; Mark Nash Sussex; Krishna Rackal Surrey and Mark Wright Middlesex
Although there was no trophy for the Festival the South probably deserved to win it.
Web master note- In the first rain affected match - The limit on the first innings was removed - the Midlands batted for 76.5 overs to make 104 all out.
The South faced just 27 overs and just failed to win at 102 for 6.

Thus Michael played alongside Loudon; Carberry; Hunt; Maunders; Phillips and Scott all of whom have played professional cricket
