The Under 15 festival was badly rained affected but Robin did sufficently well to be selected to play for the President's X1 versus the England Under 15 side. It was in this match that he made his name on the National stage. With his mother in the crowd he took full advantage of a short leg side boundary on the Worcestershire CCC ground and made a high score. Both parents had now seen Robin have a good innings in an important stage of his young career. Other players of note who played at the Festival in 1991 and are on the County circuit with Robin in 2000 were:
KEVIN INNES NORTHANTS
VIKRAM SOLANKI WORCESTERSHIRE
ALEX MORRIS HAMPSHIRE
BARRY HYAM ESSEX
DAVID ROBERTS NORTHANTS
MARCUS TRESCOTHICK SOMERSET & ENGLAND
